Fashion & Surface Textile Designer: Jane Bowler

Jane Bowler is a fashion and surface textile designer from London. She is an emerging designer and has already had her designs featured in Vogue and has stars like Rita Ora snapping up her quirky designs...

She creates a range of clothing, bags, jewellery and accessories using unconventional materials, plaited and interweaved leathers, ropes and a LOT of laser cutting. The results are simply stunning...

Her designs are sold internationally in six countries worldwide but it is the way she creates that inspires me. She has a unique perspective on fashion and her love of creating with unconventional items inspires me to dabble in that area aswell. I did a little bit of this on my foundation course and created some unusual accessories using weaved unconventional items but I would love to expand on this and try to include it in a future project at university so that I can experiment and get some more practice.

I have signed up for this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I have booked a weekend off work to attend and hope it will increase my knowledge and I can experiment freely there. It will also break up my Summer break with a bit of fashion design which will be nice.
